From April through October, our Heimatstube opens as early as noon—perfect for anyone looking to take a relaxing break after a hike or bike ride in the Hunsrück.

Look forward to a small but exquisite menu featuring everything that’s good for body and soul: a warming soup, our crispy Hunsrück open-faced sandwich, a classic homemade sausage platter, or a slice of Mom’s-style crumb cake—served with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream if you’d like.

*Strausi/Straußwirtschaft : The term “Straußwirtschaft” derives from the old custom of hanging a bouquet of flowers or branches (often a broom or a wreath of grapevines) in a prominent place on the door or courtyard gate. This was an unmistakable signal to neighbors and passersby: “We’re open and serving our own wine!”
